VFEINS / JAKARTA

VFEINS started from frustration. We were tired of seeing local brands recycle the same formula: overpriced basics, oversized logos, familiar graphics, then calling it a new collection. We felt like clothing could be more thoughtful than that. More intentional. More creative. So we started making the pieces we felt were missing.

Design philosophy

Translating Indonesian art into contemporary garments is our way of bringing cultural references into a modern context. Rather than reproducing traditional imagery directly, we reinterpret its forms, stories, and visual language through pieces that we feel are relevant to how we dress today.

Why we chose the design

The orchid felt right for our first piece. From a distance it feels simple, but the closer you look, the more detail begins to show. We liked that balance, something subtle enough to wear naturally, but distinctive enough to have an identity of its own.

Meet the founders

VFEINS began as an idea between friends who shared the same frustration with how repetitive clothing had started to feel. What began as conversations about the pieces we wished existed slowly became something we wanted to build ourselves.

Each of us brings a different perspective to the brand, from design and creative direction to production, logistics, and the way VFEINS is presented. Creative direction and design are led by Jeff Lim (@jeff.s.lim) and Ernesto Saalino (@ernestosaalino), while Matthew Sihite (@matthew._si) oversees logistics and on-the-ground operations in Indonesia. That mix is what continues to shape the label as we grow.

More than anything, VFEINS is still a personal project for us, built from our own taste, ideas, and the kind of clothing we genuinely want to wear.

Looking ahead

VFEINS is still at the beginning.

We want every release to give us room to experiment with new garments, ideas and ways of presenting them, while slowly building a visual language that feels unmistakably ours.
